Procurement by U.S. federal, state and local governments in Information Technology and Advanced Security Systems reached more then $130 billion, a market 20 times larger than the equivalent Canadian market. More than 70% of this market is accessible to Canadian companies (no restriction related to the Buy American Act or Set Aside for Small Business). Many Quebec based companies are more inclined to sell into European markets rather than to sell to the closer U.S. market.
